Rob Hooper Named as the Emilius Irving Award Recipient
We are proud to announce that our own Rob Hooper has been chosen by the Hamilton Law Association’s Board of Trustees as the 2022 recipient of the Emilius Irving Award.
This award, named for the first president of the Hamilton Law Association, honours a member of the association who has made an outstanding contribution towards furthering the goals of the Hamilton Law Association through participation in Association activities, service to the legal community, contributions to academia, CPD, or contributions to the community generally.
And between Rob’s contributions to the legal field and his considerable community involvement, we believe they couldn’t have made a better choice!
About Rob Hooper
Rob founded Hooper Law in 2001 and has been working in the legal sector for more than 30 years – first in New Brunswick and then in Ontario. He was recently inducted as a fellow into the American College of Trial Lawyers. His superb track record of winning cases that go to trial – including cases that go to the Superior Court of Justice, the Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada – has put him in high demand among injured persons in need of someone to defend their rights. Rob truly cares about his clients and works hard to protect their rights and ensure their needs are met.
But Rob’s sense of caring and responsibility doesn’t end with his clients. It extends far into the community. Rob has sat on the Board of Directors for a number of non-profit organizations, including the Hamilton Association of Approved Basketball Officials, the Hamilton-Wentworth Creative Arts Inc., Wilson Junior Golf Tour, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada.
Currently, Rob sits on the Board of Directors of Live Different and the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association.
